Terms of Business

Elyte Clean aims to provide reliable, trustworthy and efficient cleaners for our clients and to maintain a high level of support and back up throughout the duration of our agreement.

This agreement will be for a minimum initial period of thirteen (13) weeks from your first cleaning service and shall continue thereafter on a month-to-month rolling basis.

Should the client wish to cancel or reschedule a session this must be made through the office in writing (email acceptable) with adequate notice of 1 week (7 days).

If the cleaner leaves or the client is unhappy with the service, the client may request  Elyte Clean to allocate a new cleaner.

Should a cleaner be unable to attend the clients due to sickness or holidays and if the client wishes to have a replacement cleaner, Elyte Clean will aim to provide a replacement cleaner within 2 working days or a credit will be applied to the client’s next invoice.

The client may cancel a cleaning session by giving a minimum of 1 week (7 days) notice.

If the cleaner arrives at the client’s property and is unable to work for any given reason or cannot have access to the property due to the door being locked or inadequate keys given or client not at home on agreed time to allow access, the client will be liable to pay full cleaning fees for that session.

Payments are to be made to Elyte Clean in advance. Payment is prefered by Bank Transfer (Bacs),

Cheque payments will incur a £3 administrative fee.

Late payments will incur a £30.00 charge if payment is not received within 7 days of invoice date. To avoid late payment charges, we recommend that a standing order is set up.

By entering into a service agreement with Elyte Clean, the client agrees that during the period of this agreement or for a period of 12 months after the termination of the cleaning service agreement the client will not hire or use any services provided by a present or past cleaner introduced to the client by Elyte Clean on a private capacity other than those services agreed with Elyte Clean.  

If the client does wish to hire or use the services of any nature provided by such a cleaner on a private basis our referral fee is £1500 to cover Elyte Clean loss of earnings, recruitment and training costs.

The client agrees never to enter or make any financial or private arrangements with the cleaner other than those arranged by Elyte Clean. Any requests of additional services or hours must be first arranged and agreed through Elyte Clean Office.

The client will not refer any worker introduced by Elyte Clean to any family, friends or acquaintances with the intention of further work without previously discussing with Elyte Clean.

Elyte Clean and/or our cleaner are insured with public liability insurance which protects the client’s home against loss or damage, provided that this damage or loss is caused by the negligence or omission of the cleaner and to the extent that the loss or damage is of a value in excess of £250.  

In case of any claims Elyte Clean requires information within 24 hours in writing (email acceptable) subsequent to the completed service. Accounts in arrears nullify their insurance cover provided by Elyte Clean.

Elyte Clean does not accept liability or the insurance policy does not cover damage caused by equipment not in full working order supplied by the client or clients fixtures and fittings that are in poor repair.

The client will be responsible for instructing the cleaner on the safe use of any necessary equipment within the workplace.

Unless Elyte Clean are supplying products (cleaning chemicals) the client is responsible for supplying all appropriate cleaning materials and equipment in full working order in addition to making arrangements for access to the client home.

The client may terminate the agreement to take effect at any time after the initial 13 week period by giving not less than one calendar month's notice in writing to Elyte Clean (email acceptable). In such circumstances, the balance (if any) for the period after expiry of the notice shall be refunded to the client unless expiry of the notice falls within the initial period in which case the agreement shall terminate immediately after the initial period and without refund.  If for whatever reason the initial payment has not been made to Elyte Clean at the time the client serves notice of termination, the client shall remain liable to make such payment to Elyte Clean. The client must pay for all scheduled cleans within the termination period, even when a clean is cancelled by the client.

Elyte Clean may terminate the agreement at any time by giving not less than one weeks (7 days) notice in writing to the client (email acceptable).  In such circumstances, the balance (if any) for the period after expiry of the notice shall be refunded to the client.

Should a cheque be returned and/or unpaid the client will be liable to administration cost of £30.00 in addition to the outstanding balance.   

Upon cessation of the Service, it is the duty of the client to cancel the standing order; we are unable to do this. Non cancelled standing orders will be subject to a £30.00 administration fee when refunded.

These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time and we will inform our clients of any changes.
